A.F.I. - DECEMBERUNDERGROUND

By: S6 Staff - Andrew
DECEMBERUNDERGROUND is A.F.I.'s 7th album. It was released in the US on June 6th, 2006 (6/6/06). This was their very first album to ever be number one on the Billboard Top 200. When asked about the title of their new album, Davey Havok said, "Decemberunderground is a time and a place. It is where the cold can huddle together in darkness and isolation."
The album has been said by many fans, to veer off from what they have previously done. Personally, comparing this album to their previous album,
Sing The Sorrow, I wasn't completely happy. I seemed to lean more towards their old album, with more powerful lyrics, and song rhythms! But in the end, this ended up being one of my favorite albums of all time. It was like a never ending story, with crazy cliffhangers, powerful story lines, and one great tune.
Recommendations:
The Interview -- The lyrics to this song are COMPLETELY AMAZING! And I absolutely love the Ending. The ending of the song was Used in the Director's cut of LOVE LIKE WINTER.
Kiss and Control -- My favorite song off the album. Like said before, the lyrics are like an amazing story. They wrap you into the album, and you just never want to leave.
Summer Shudder -- This song is very hard to explain, but amazing to listen too. Its another one that will get you trapped in the music.
