Cartel - Chroma

By: Derek
Cartel is a five-member American pop punk band from Atlanta, Georgia that formed in 2004. Their most recent album, Chroma put them on Alternative Press's 2005 list of "Bands You Need to Know". In March 2006, they were also named Yahoo! Music's winner in the "Who's Next" competition and a Breaker artist by AOL music.
Their debut album Chroma is filled with a compilation of fantastic songs. The cd has it's fair share of upbeat heartwarming songs, while also including fantastic slow songs. This is a great cd to listen to while chilling out in your bedroom or while doing work on your computer. If you are worried that just because you like their single "Honestly" you won't like their debut album, Chroma, have no fear. If you like "Honestly", you will absolutely love this cd.
Recommendations:
"Say Anything (Else)" - This song is definitely a must-download. I listened to the song and got chills. It's an extremely well written song. It's heart-warming and upbeat and a must have song for any pop-rock/alternative rock buff.
"Runaway" - There is so much to be said about this song. From what I understand, the song is about karma and how it's pretty much a bitch. It's genuinely a fun song to listen to. I feel great whenever I'm listening to it. It's a must have and one of the best on the CD.
"Burn This City Down" - This song is great. It's not one of their most well-known songs from the album, but it's definitely a jewel. This song is basically a couple saying to everybody before they leave town, "I told you so." It's uplifting and DEFINITELY worth a 99 cent download.
