Many dedicated fans were devastated to hear that Blink-182 had broken up. But while many were mourning the band's end, others celebrated the beginning of Angels & Airwaves [also known as AVA]. The band started gaining a fan base due to the short film on their website, including their song "The Adventure." Shortly after, the band marked the release of their debut album, We Don't Need to Whisper. Since then, the band has released three more sequential short films for "It Hurts," "The Gift" and "The War." Angels & Airwaves has not only promoted their music, but their movie as well. It is said to be World War II based and tells the story of Tom DeLonge's life. The film's working title is currently AVA. Later, they released a new song titled "Star of Bethlehem," which is said to be on their upcoming album, I-Empire. I-Empire continues the element of We Don't Need to Whisper and, as DeLonge stated, is following the story that was started with We Don't Need to Whisper. DeLonge stated that We Don't Need to Whisper was about the rebirth of life, while I-Empire is about what to do after the rebirth. The album is set to be released Fall 2007.

Recommendations:
"The Adventure" - This is my favorite song by the band. It has an amazing introduction, I believe, and I really like this song's lyrics. Overall, an amazing song.

"The War" - Honestly, it's hard to write about AVA's songs. It's really more of a you'd have to listen to it situation.

"Star of Bethlehem" - This song is almost completely instrumental. The music is great, and the little bit of lyrics that they have in this song is amazing as well. This band is masterful at composing songs. In my opinion, all their songs are incredible.
