Cartel fairly new to the music scene. Having been a band since 2004, they've finally been recognized by the Mainstream audience. They were on on Alternative Press's 2005 list of "Bands You Need to Know", named Yahoo! Music's winner in the "Who's Next" competition [March 2006], and a Breaker artist by AOL music. Cartel's 2007 headlining tour will be with Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship, New Atlantic and Permanent Me. Recently, they have been signed to Epic Records and re-released their amazing album, Chroma. They have a great sound with I-can-totally-relate-to lyrics and pop-y hooks. Having a phenomenal front man, Will Pugh, with flawless singing and pitch doesn't hurt either. Cartel is fun to listen to, and will have you singing along.

Recommendations:
"Honestly" - Their 1st single is great and catchy with sing-along choruses and honest lyrics [no pun intended]. The music video isn't so bad either, having a little-very much myspace-esque about it. Wonderful guitar hooks, too. This is a song you'll want to play over and over. Download it and watch the video, it's about the BEST ever.

"Save Us" - This is probably one of my favorite songs by Cartel. It's a slow and soothing ballad. With Pugh's pitch-perfect voice, delicate piano, and sweet sounding violins, this song will have you probably feeling calmer and relaxed as soon as it's over.

"Settle Down" - A song about growing up and a couple growing apart, I think many listeners will be able to relate to it. This song is leaking with emotion and teenager angst. I highly recommend listening to this song.
