Chiodos
[official website] - [official myspace]
By: Kathleen.
Formerly known as the Chiodos Bros., the Chiodos have become well known to those who love any form of rock music. The band, consisting of six members, Craig Owens (vocals), Bradley Bell (keyboards), Pat McManaman (guitar), Matt Goddard (bass), Jason Hale (guitar), and Derrick Frost (drums). These six boys originating from Davison, MI put 100% into every song they sing. The Chiodos are going somewhere, after being included in a Yellowcard show and receiving a successful spot in Bamboozle, previously. The band's amazing vocals and variety of sounds they bring to their music will show fans why they are deserving of being on your iPods, mp3 players, and CD players. They have definitely earned a spot on my iPod :D
Recommendations:
"There's No Penguins In Alaska" - Not another rock song, where the lyrics appear to be "pointless." This song, as far as I'm concerned is a love song, although, theremost likely is a much deeper meaning. Sorry, but this is not a song about penguins :)
"
Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute On the Creek" - This song, I'm pretty sure is also a love song by the Chiodos. As far as I am concerned, this is their most popular song, and if you listen to it, you'll know why. This is not another generic love song, with the ya ya and I love you, I miss you. People can relate, those who are into rock and non-sappy-ness.
"One Day Woman Will All Become Monsters" - Another phenomenal song by the Chiodos, showing off Craig Owens amazing vocals :) This song has a some hardcore to it, which makes it even more enjoyable, to those who like this type of music though.
