Circa Survive actually had it’s start when the lead singer, Anthony Green, left his previous band, Saosin, in 2004. As of now, Circa Survive has two full length albums out, Juturna and On letting go, both of which are albums that everyone should have. Circa Survive is a serious band that has excellent musicianship that inspires you through their lyrics, guitars and drums. This is a wonderful band because not only are they easy to listen to but when you do listen to them, you will never forget this band.
Recommendations:
Handshakes At Sunrise: First of, this song starts with introducing you to Circa Survive’s drumming that you must know, is excellent and articulate. Listen to the lyrics as well because they are too amazing.
Stop The Fucking Car: This was the first song I listened to of Circa Survive and what caught my attention because most unique to this band is that the lead singer has a very beautiful soprano voice. This song allows you to listen to the versatility of the very high and softer structures of it.
In The Morning And Amazing…: All three of Circa Survives best attributes are all mixed into this song, the lead singer’s unique voice, a slew of excellent guitar playing from the bass and lead guitarists and the drumming. Off of their second CD, On letting Go, this song I thought had the catchiest chorus, for anyone who is into that.
