These guys have been around longer than you might think. Riding the wave of electronica music addicts in the early 90s, Daft Punk realeased hit after hit that were both acclaimed by the inhabitants on the dance floor and critics alike. Their sound is described as "first-wave acid house techno" and mixes the sounds of hip-hop, funk, electronica, and techno. I've never been to a rave, (god I've always wanted to though), but I can definitely picture Daft Punk being played through the speakers until the morning hours. This is one electronic duo you really shouldn't overlook.

Recommendations:
"Digital Love" - A smooth and almost sensual song, it's one of my favorites by Daft Punk. I usually listen to it as background music when I'm on the computer. It just lightens my mood and makes surfing the internet a little more fun.

"One More Time" - Does anyone else remember when Nickelodeon had their "NickPicks" at the end of each week? They would pick 5 popular songs voted on by the kids at Nick.com and then the winner would get the music video played. Well, they had this song as one of the songs to vote for and I remember always voting for it because I loved it and wanted to see it played. Even when I was a kid I liked electronica =D

"Technologic" - Buy it, use it, break it, fix it, trash it, change it, melt - upgrade it. Would you believe I know every word to this song? Take a listen and you'll see why I'm very proud of this. It's really just mindless fun with a great beat. You probably know this song from that one iPod commercial.

"Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" - Songs like this are the reason I love techno music. It's a great track and has even been sampled by Kanye West in his single, "Stronger."
