Eve

By: S6 Staff - lz.
There aren't many female hip-hop/rap artists out there that can say they've reached the amount of success that Eve has. Born Eve Jeffers, she was into singing ever since she was a child. Through time she honed her rapping skills and quickly became known as a tough and strong MC. After some label troubles, she went on to become the first female rapper to debut at number one with her album, "Let There Be Eve..." Since her start in the late 90s, Eve has become one of the foremost female rappers to date and it's nice to know she got here on her own terms.
Recommendations:
"Gangsta Lovin'" - One of her first singles to break her into the mainstream and also one of her most well known to date. She duets here with another female star, Alicia Keys, and creates a song unlike any other.
"Not Today" - Eve teams up with Mary J. Blige for this song and get a soulful hip-hop track you can actually find on the Barbershop 2 Soundtrack.
"Tambourine" - JAM SONG! This is actually the first single off her newest album, (that we can't get yet) and promises to be one of her most popular ever. With so much energy and club appeal, it's no doubt this song will be an anthem year from now.
