For Fans Of: Coldplay, OneRepublic, The Undeserving

For some strange reason, my MySpace page is set to MySpace Australia, not MySpace US. It worked out to my advantage though, because MySpace AU means MySpace Music AU, and that's how I first stumbled across this great alternative/pop band from down under. Evermore is made up of three guys, Jon, Peter, and Dann. (From what I know, it really is spelled with two "n's.") Together, the three guys create a sound that the alternative music scene can never seem to get enough of. Their music is inspiring without being cheesy, and uplifting without being over-the-top. Bands like Coldplay and OneRepublic come to mind when listening to their music, bands that are currently enjoying the spotlight of mainstream audiences. Their music has been featured in the ABC Family tv show, "Wildfire," but it's still a little hard to say if Evermore will ever breakthrough here in the states. It's not a reach to say though that this indie band will make you want more more more.

Recommendations:
"Unbreakable" - My personal favorite from Evermore, it's got a great message that the inner-optimist in all of us will love. I mean come on, with lyrics like "we've got something, and I wish that you could see, that alone we're nothing, but together we could be unbreakable," what's not to enjoy?

"Light Surrounding You" - Mmmm, "Light Surrounding You" is an easy-going track that leaves you feeling quite content. It's one of their stronger songs as well as a fan favorite.

"It's Too Late" - I looove the little intro to this one. As Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" proved, a minimal chime-like sound wins everytime. This one's of their more upbeat songs, one you should also enjoy if you like their other material.
