Franz Ferdinand
[official website] - [official myspace]

About three years ago. Franz Ferdinand was all I would listen to. I had their debut album on repeat for weeks and just
about refused to listen to anyone else. Their funky sound and style was what drew me to their music and it still brings
me back whenever I
pop in their cd select them on my iPod. Looking at the group you might think they're some
indie band from the 80s, but for fans of Hot Hot Heat and The Raconteurs, Franz Ferdinand will surely be a treat for
your ears.
Recommendations:
"Dark of the Matinee" - Remains my favorite song to date by Franz Ferdinand. I can't really tell you how many times I've
bobbed my head along to this one because it's been way too often for any normal person.
"Michael" - Hmmm. You'll either like the song or you wont. You'll either like the message or you wont. You'll find
the lyrics gross or captivating. Whatever your take on the song's subject matter, I think it's pretty catchy in itself.
"Auf Achse" - A more mellow song that almost puts you in a trance. It's one of my favorites off their self-titled
album and still a song I play pretty often.
Darts of Pleasure" - Yet another highly addictive song by Franz Ferdinand. What more is there to say but to get this
one? If you liked my previous recommendations you'll like this one as well.
