Good Charlotte

Good Charlotte is an alternative band from Waldorf, Maryland. The lead singer and his twin brother, Joel and Benji Madden, started this band after going to a Beastie Boys concert. When they decided to start the band, they had no musical knowledge/talent. They called up Joel's ex-girlfriends brother, Paul Thomas, who played bass. Paul taught Benji alot of guitar. They later got Billy Martin, guitar/piano, and Aaron, drummer. After the first album, Aaron split to join his brothers band. Their next couple of drummers also split and they now have Dean Buttersworth. Since their first album they have had over 3 million record sales and have a new album coming out on March 27 called Good Morning Revival. They have always had an original sound and the new album's is even better. They put trumpets in, which in my opinion is very cool.

Recommendations:
"The Click" - I think one of their best songs speaking out against trying to fit in and just being yourself and hanging out with people who think you're cool for who you are, not for what you try to be.

"Dance Floor Anthem" - From the new album, Good Morning Revival, it's about a guy waiting for a call, but he's being used and having love is pointless for some people. Depressing, kinda, but it has such good guitar :D.

"Hold On" - Talks about how no matter what, life isn't gonna be bad enough to just throw it away. It says to just stay with it, because no matter what, you'll find someone who cares, even if no one does at the moment. If you give up now, you'll miss out on what would have come. You'll miss out on the fun you and your friends will have. So that no matter how bad your life is, there's always something good there, you just have to look for it.
