While some question her latest album, "The Sweet Escape," it's hard to deny that Gwen is getting more creative and daring. (Face it, not many people would attempt a song with samples from "The Sound Of Music.") Stefani first gained praise as a solo artist with her 2004 release of "Love.Angel.Music.Baby." While some may feel somewhat dissapointed with her newest album, they have to keep in mind that Gwen was really aiming for a more creative and innovative style here. I feel she's accomplished it with one-of-a-kind songs like "Yummy" and the lead track off the album, "Wind It Up."

Recommendations:
"Yummy" - This one's got the same vibe as "Wind It Up" and brings back Gwen's "Hollaback Girl"-esque rapping. She sings about being back in the game after having children and how she's feeling oh so "yummy." (The first line of the song is definitely one you'll be quoting later.) Check this out and have fun enjoying the crazy/pop/electronic sound that only Gwen Stefani can seem to do so well.

"Wind It Up" - If you're into a edgy pop/dance/electronic sound, "Wind It Up" is definitely a song to get. with samples from "The Sound of Music" and some help from Pharell, this is a that song makes you wanna get up and jam. The chorus, beat, and hook are addictive. You'll most likely find yourself hitting "replay" continuously.

"Don't Get It Twisted" - This song is trippy. Good trippy. It's quick moving and the beat flows along with Gwen's vocals perfectly. The beginning and chorus are the strongest parts of the song, but you can bob along to the rest of it as well. overall, it's a pretty cool song.

"The Sweet Escape" - Undeniably one of the best songs off her latest album. It's got a fun sound to it and the collaboration with Akon works very well. The video for the song is really very cool as well, with Gwen taking the "escape" concept and running from the police with her Harajuku entourage.

"Crash" - This one's off her previous album, "Love.Angel.Music.Baby." I first heard this one on the radio and was instantly hooked. It's an extremely catchy song with a party vibe that really makes you wanna dance.

"Cool," "Rich Girl," "What You waiting For?," "Hollaback Girl," and "4 In the Morning."
