Hollywood Undead

[official myspace]

By: S6 Staff - lz.

Few bands can mix hip hop and rock successfully. Hollywood Undead is one of those bands that does it so well it's almost hard to believe. They're rock, borderline metal, over the edge of screamo, and still they manage to throw in some hip hop into the mix. Their sound is addictive. Cocaine doesn't have anything on Hollywood Undead. The band's made up of seven guys from the streets of Hollywood that have built their fanbase completely on MySpace. Their music ranges from lyrics with fun mockery to lyrics with bitter and broken hearted feelings. These guys with masks from Hollywood are ready to break out and conquer more than just their little Tinsel Town.

Recommendations:
"No 5" - Nope, not the Chanel perfume. This song is actually my favorite from Hollywood Undead. It was the first song I heard from them and I was instantly hooked. You'll soon find yourself singing: "Hollywood we never goin' down."

"My Black Dahlia" - This is what I mean by bitter lyrics. There's really no other way to describe them. Each line hits you with it's emotion, but can you imagine if this song was directed at you? You'll see what I mean when you listen to it.

"Scene for Dummies" - Hmm, this song is the least played on their MySpace. Every other track has over 500,000 plays, but this doesn't. I just think it's funny because it's almost like a parody of MySpace. They mention the infamous Tila Tequila and Jeffree Star. They poke fun at being "scene" and even go as far as to ridicule them. Even if the song offends some, it's still really catchy.
