Hot Hot Heat

Indie/Rock bands should take notice of Hot Hot Heat. Their talent for matching catchy hooks with wordplay has made them a beloved group. When they're not charming you with clever phrases, they're making you rock out with choruses and guitars that work together perfectly. Since the birth of the group in 1999, they have gone on to release albums that are more addicive than the next, all leading up to my personal favorite, "Elevator." Their sound is really fun and has more energy than the little kids you see on those Kidz Bop commercials. (Which might I add are really quite scary.)

Recommendations:
You Owe Me An IOU - Favorite by the band. Hands down. It's upbeat, it's fun, it's catchy and it puts me in a good mood. I could probably ramble on and on about how much I love this song, but just listen to it and I wont have to =]

Oh, Goddamnit - It's not their most catchy, but the message is a nice one that I think needs hearing. First thing after a breakup, you either think "I'm free!" or you think "Oh, goddamnit!" This song, well, it talks about the latter of the two.

Goodnight, Goodnight - This is actually the song that threw this little band into the mainstream. Mtv2 picked it up at the time, along with Green Day's "Holiday" and....some other random rap song. They played them incessantly and so the world was introduced to a hidden treasure.

Ladies and Gentlemen - Alright, so this one has special meaning to me. The chorus tells a story very relative to mine. I was the one who "they wanted in." It sings about a friendship falling apart and that's what happened to me. We're friends again, something you wont hear in the song, but at the time i felt this song was almost made expecially for me.
