Kelly Clarkson is a 25 year old who was born in Fort Worth Texas. Her friends Encouraged Kelly to audition for the Debut season of American Idol. Kelly made it through the 30 contestants that went to Hollywood. She kept going though, then on September 4 2002, she won the competition and earned 58% of the audience vote over Justin Guarini. A song was written for the winner of American idol, which was “A moment like this”, and it appeared on her first album, Thankful. When she released "A moment like this" as a single she was able to sell 236,000 copies of that song in the first week. In 2004 she released her second album breakaway, which sold over 10 million copies. One of her most known songs from "Breakaway" is, "Because of you" which was a song Kelly Clarkson had written the words to this song when she was only 16 years old. In 2007 she released her third album, "My December" which sold 291,000 albums. I like Kelly Clarkson a lot because she is different and her songs are very good to listen too. I love singing along with her music.

Because of You (Breakaway): Because of you is a very, very good song. This song is probably one of my most favorite songs by her. Its good to hear about emotions people have and this song has very big emotions in it.
Breakaway (Breakaway): This song is very catchy. Its a song about being free away from people. My favorite lines, "I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly, 'ill do what it takes till' I touch the sky".
Also recommended - (Louie): "Walk Away" - This was the final released single off her debut album, "Breakaway," and is one of my favorites. The song is catchy and the video is pretty entertaining. As Evan said, Kelly's just one of those artists who you can't help but sing along to.
