Lovedrug

There's not a thousand words I could say that would be able to paint you a picture of Lovedrug that would actually do
the band justice. I could show you pictures since a picture's worth a thousand words but that wouldn't do much good
either. You really can't find another band that manages to fuse rock with indie and create the perfect mix of raw
emotion and poetry. But the guys of Lovedrug do it so well that you begin to think that they must have a good luck
charm or just really good karma (or, of course, they could just be talented but psh, what kind of a lunatic would
come to that conclusion?). However, karma obviously wasn't on the bands side this past month (so i guess they must
be talented D:) when they had their van and trailer stolen. The pair was later discovered completely gutted and
burned. In short, Lovedrug lost everything from their clothes and ipods to all of their band equipment (images,
details, and information on how to donate to Lovedrug can be found here). But the incident hasn't stopped the band
from performing and touring. Looking on the bright side, they now have more angst to write about? (I'm horrible)
Recommendations:
"Casino Clouds" - I'm a cynic and a pessimist which probably explains why I love this song so much. The song's pretty much about a guy who, upon dying, looks back and realizes that he wasted away his whole life; charming, right?
"Everything Starts Where It Ends" - The tempo is mellow, the lyrics melancholy. Normally I hate songs that are over 7 minutes long, but I make an exception for this song because, behind the bittersweet words, there's a message of hope.
"Spiders" - I hate spiders, I never knew you could compare love to spiders, I bet you didn't either. Go listen to this song, it's cute.
