Madonna
[official website] - [official myspace]

The Queen of Pop needs no introduction. But I'll give you one anyway. Madonna has been around making music longer than most of us have been alive. She's reinvented herself more times than a middle school student and each time is more welcomed than the last. You name it, she's reinvented herself to become it. Dominatrix to carefree earthchild to disco ruler; it's hard to imagine something she HASN'T done. But see, it's that wonderful talent of Madonna that keeps us all anticipating her every move. She's truly a fix in pop culture and pop music as a whole. If you've never heard of her, it's time to get out from under that rock and onto that dancefloor.
Recommendations:
"Hung Up" - One of her most recent songs, and also one of my favorites. It's disco for today and you wont regret getting this song. The song is simple enough, but what you really need to check out is the video. It's almost as if the message is saying that music is universal.
"Music" - Electro pop music that's just too good to not listen to. The message is great and I'm sure everyone here at Spin6 can back it up. "Music makes the people come together." Madonna, I really couldn't agree with you more.
"Like A Prayer" - Let's take it back. WAY BACK. 1989 to be exact. At the time, this songs practically ruled everything. Madonna had signed a deal with Pepsi which might I add, was huge for any celebrity, and her music video was the center of all controversies. She really hit the nail on the head of taboo with the video. Youtube it, you'll see what I mean when I say, "Oh yeah, she went there."
Also check out:
"Die Another Day," "Ray of Light," "Beautiful Stranger," "Holiday," and "Sorry."
