Mindless Self Indulgence

Thier name pretty much says it all. I like sophisticated and introspective artists as much as the next person, but every now and a while it's nice to indulge in, well, mindless fun. I give you, Mindless Self Indulgence. The band from New York City delivers a sound that's in your face and spilling with high energy. Their music is fast, gritty, and at times vulgar. . .I love it! The band's also pretty well known for their onstage attitude and have toured with the likes of My Chemical Romance and Insane Clown Posse. Seems pretty fitting that a loud group like this would tour with such distinct bands. I'm a pretty new listener to MSI myself, and I hope you'll give them a chance. I doubt you'll hear anyone quite like them for a while.

Recommendations:
"Stupid MF" - Yeah yeah, I'll admit it, I'm hooked. This one's a fan favorite and one of my newest iPod additions. It's not exactly a lyrical masterpiece, but you can't deny how damn catchy it is. "Get it? Get It? Get it? You just don't get it."

"Shut Me Up" - This is one of those songs that you've probably heard before, but just don't know it. It's pretty fast paced and you'll have to really pay attention to get the message. All the more reason to listen.

"Two Hookers and an 8 Ball" - This song's one of my friend's personal favorites. She's the coolest and absolutely loves this band. Her and her friends used to listen to this song full blast while driving her car screaming the lyrics out. Props. Props.
