My American Heart

Once considered to be a cheap knock-off version of Armor For Sleep, My American Heart (formerly known as No Way Out) have come along way since their debut cd "The Meaning In Makeup." The San Diego pentet made a few changes to their sound and have returned with their second effort, the sophmore album "Hiding Inside The Horrible Weather" which features an edgier sound and better lyric composition. They've managed to prove that they aren't just another bunch of Ben Jorgensen wanna-be's and have finally managed to create a sound that's uniquely their own. About time boys.

Recommendations:
"Boys! Grab Your Guns" - It's catchy, like put it on repeat for a week catchy, can't get it out of your head catchy, sing it at the top of your lungs catchy, know all the words catchy. I think you get my point.

"The Shake (Awful Feeling)" - Probably one of the better songs off "Hiding Inside The Horrible Weather" (then again, I love the whole CD so it's really impossible for me to pick). Lyrically, it's one of the better written songs on the album; vocally, it's as strong as "Boys! Grab Your Guns;" overall, it's amazing.

"Moving On" - See song description for "Boys! Grab Your Guns" and understand that that applies for every song on the cd. Got it? Okay good, now go out and buy it. Pirating is bad kids.
