Paramore
[official website] - [official myspace]
By: S6 Journalist - ximeng.
Hard to believe, but lead singer Hayley Williams was just 16 when Paramore formed, making her one of the youngest member of the Fueled By Ramen family. One year later, she along with brothers Josh and Zac Farro as well as Hunter Lamb released their first album "All We Know is Falling." It would be unjust to say that Paramore has been riding the Fall Out Boy wave of success. No, instead, they've been carving their own way through the music industry and making their own fans (but of course, being associated with Fueled By Ramen does help that process along nicely). Now, the band plans on doing yet another Warped Tour and are currently in the process of recording their sophomore album entitled "Riot!" with the help of new bassist Jeremy Davis who replaced Hunter Lamb who recently quit the band to be with his fiancé. "Riot!" is expected to be released sometime in June of this year.
Recommendations:
"Franklin" - Sad, sweet, and mellow, this is probably my favorite song of theirs. It's really the only one on their album where you get to actually hear one of the guys sing.
"Brighter" - Hayley really has a genuinely clear voice, not one of those digitally enhanced popstar voices that are so high pitched that they make you want to cringe and crawl under a rock. I love her voice on the whole album, but especially on this song in particular.
"Here We Go Again" - The last track, I just think its fun. You should listen to it. I'll love you forever if you do. Play it for your ex-boyfriend. It'll make the song ten times better. I promise!
