P!nk has got an attitude and always has something to say. Wait, there's more. She's an incredible singer to boot. P!nk, (actual name: Alecia Moore) first started in the music scene in two groups that eventually split. She was later signed to LeFace records as a solo artist. But see, Miss P!nk was tired of the "teen popstar" stereotype she was thrown into. She later moved away from that image to become a rock/pop powerhouse. Since then, she's made records with tons of energy and has earned herself a following of fans who love her honest view on the world. With four albums under her belt, P!nk is here to stay.
Recommendations:
"Stupid Girls" - It's about time someone spoke up about the mindless self-obsession that's been going on lately in Hollwood. People are changing themselves just stay on the same level as the rest of the celebs. You better believe P!nk has something to say in the matter. She does so by poking fun at various celebs in this video which "shouldn't be taken too seriously" as she says.
"Just Like A Pill" - This song comes off her "M!ssundaztood" and definitely packs a punch with a rock/pop sound. Moore really puts her singing abilities into this song and creates an anthem about needing someone so much.
"Family Portrait" - A deeply personal song that speaks about broken families and the need to put on a fake smile. Coming from her own experiences as a child, Moore sings this song with all her emotion. It shows another side to her. The one that's not quick to talk back, but the one that's personal and meaningful. That's why I feel you should own this song.
