Electronica, pop, rock, and dance all mash together to give you a unique and inspiring group, The Scissor Sisters.
The band is huge in Great Britain, where their newest album, "Ta-Dah," peaked at number one. They deserve to be
huge here too! With a sound and style that hails the like of David Bowie, Freddy Mercury, and Elton John, The Scissor
Sisters once again put a spotlight on the eccentric New York nightlife. Tours with Duran Duran and a few dates
with the great Elton John himself, have earned this glam rock band all sorts of attention. The lead singer's voice is
unforgettable, their style is bold, and their sound is bombastic. You have got to give this group a listen.
Recommendations:
"T*ts on the Radio" - I actually featured this song on my Hot6 at one point. It's really a catchy song with
an even more catchy chorus. The message is pretty amusing, but not so much when you realize it's totally true.
"I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" - So this is the song that propelled their latest album, "Ta-Dah" to the top.
It's just as addictive as the rest of their music too. I really can't think of another song quite like it.
"Kiss You Off" - Hmm. Reminds me of another great music artist, Peaches. The message is cheeky and while
the song is simple, it exudes sexuality. Gotta love it! The video (which you should really go watch) is pretty cool
to boot. I've always liked the bold videos unlike what's out there now.
