It's ironic that a band who originated in the United States would be popular everywhere except the US but such is the
luck of The Films, a foursome from North Carolina, who have made their mark in Europe and Australia with their pop
loving sound but have yet to make a dent in the US music scene. This doesn't seem to bother the boys since they're
already extremely busy playing shows and festivals throughout Europe and Australia. They have, however, started making
the transition back to playing shows in the United States and hope that the success that they've had abroad can help
then finally clinch a fan base in the United States.
Recommendations:
"Belt Loops" - If you've been paying attention, this has actually been the S6 song for the past week or so. The staff
loves it, those Brits across the pond love it, which means that you should totally listen to it and love it of course.
"I Might Have A Problem" - All of the songs by The Films seems to tell a story and when it comes to storylines, this
one probably ranks as one of my favorites. Everyone should be able to relate to a man who often feels as if he's been
left behind and forgotten by the rest of the world.
"Strange Hands" - My favorite song by far. Like the rest of their songs, it's catchy, edgy, and the chorus is totally
addicting. Do you know have many times I have run around my house screaming "it's getting heavy heavy heavy"?
