The Hush Sound

With a soulful sound and upbeat songs, The Hush Sound has created themselves a name to be known. This pop/indie band was originally called "The Hush." However, a rapper already had that name, so they then changed their name to "The Hush Sound." They self-released their debut album, "So Sudden" on Purevolume.com. After catching the attention of Fall Out Boy member, Pete Wentz, The Hush Sound was signed to Fueled by Ramen imprint, Decaydance. The album was re-released and helped the Chicago quartet reach where they are today. I'm a big fan and remain an even bigger one after seeing them on tour. They play live wonderfully and I really do advise seeing them if you ever get the chance.

Recommendations:
"Wine Red" - The vocals in this song are perfection and the piano is surprisingly very well suited to the song. Their most successful song, "Wine Red" has become a soulful upbeat track that really represents The Hush Sound's whole style.

"Crawling Towards The Sun" - Starting the song off with "du duh da dah, da da, dah ruh ruh" is perfect for this catchy and uplifting song. It's well sung and the song flows with everyone's vocals adding in here and there.

"Where We Went Wrong" - This song is probably my favorite song by The Hush Sound. The song is soulful and the lyrics are bittersweet. The band sings about a lost relationship and how it went downhill. It's wonderful and proves to be one of their strongest songs lyrically.
