iPod commercials have quickly become the best kind of promotion lately. After The Ting Ting's had their single "Shut Up and Let Me Go" featured in one, their sales sky-rocketed and put all all spotlights on this pop/rock duo. Made up of Jules De Martino and Katie White, the pop duo is ALL POP all the time and make no apologies for it. Be warned, The Ting Tings are for avid fans of pop music. Their debut album, "We Started Nothing," is a downpour of catchy songs you can't help but party to. With an attitude more like punk rockers than pop rockers, The Ting Tings come at you full force with their assault of radio-friendly music. From start to finish, "We Started Nothing" is a party album where fun is the main goal. If you liked even a little bit of that iPod commercial, give this band a second look because you might be surprised.

Recommendations:
"Great DJ" - The follow-up single to "Shut Up and Let Me Go" is just as catchy, if not more. It's got a lot of energy to it, something that's absolutely crucial in a good pop song.

"Shut Up and Let Me Go" - I'll be the first to admit, I play this song really loud in my car (windows down of course) and sing along to every single word of it. It's just THAT good. If you've been living under a rock lately and still haven't check out this single, do yourself a favor and do so immediately.

"We Started Nothing" - Funky and cool, the title track off the album is a great little ditty. Not the strongest of songs on the album, but it complements the crazy energy of their other songs nicely. You might want to get this one as a come-down is nothing else.

"That's Not My Name" - TOO DAMN CATCHY FOR ITS OWN GOOD. Dear Ting Tings, please stop making such amazing pop music that I have to stop everything I'm doing in order to rock out to it. I can't get anything done. Thank you.
