Great American Music Hall - Maroon 5 Club Tour 2007
By: Alexis
Artist: Maroon 5
Concert Name/Year: San Francisco (Great American Music Hall) Leg of the US Club Tour / 2007
Pros:
Fortunately for myself (Alexis) I am a Maroon 5 S.I.N member (their
official fan club) and was able to get access to the band's sound
check.
Let me just tell you that until you've got a chance to experience your
favorite performers in such an intimate setting you'll probably never
be
able to fully appreciate the hard work that these performers put in
their
shows to make it better for their fans. This particular show was held
at
the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA. The venue had an
old
enchanted feeling about it and just by passing through the doors one
could
immediately tell that this was a place that many great musicians must
have
performed.
Right when i passed through the doors I sprinted to the front of the
stage
and secured my spot up front and slightly to the right, directly in
front
of guitarist James Valentine. The band had already begun their sound
check
and delighted their fans with songs from the newly released album, It
Wont
Be Soon Before Long and songs off their famous album, Songs About Jane.
They also played a little bit of Justin Timberlake’s, Senorita.
Through
out the sound check experience the band members interacted with the
audience and even sought some feedback. They answered a few fan
questions
and surprisingly most of the band members are quite humorous and way
down
to earth and let’s not forget front man Adam Levine is quite the
charmer.
The concert finally began and again I was up front to the right in
front
of James Valentine. The band started their show with a song from their
old
album, "Harder to Breathe" and then followed it up with their new
single
"Makes Me Wonder." Most say that Maroon 5 has strayed away from the
sound
that has made them famous, but i beg to differ. Maroon 5 has evolved,
they
are naturally better musicians and have stayed true to their die hard
fans
by creating some brand new Love Anthems that we can now rock out and
dance
to. The band ended their set with "She Will Be Loved" and since they
were
performing for a crowd populated by Fan Club Members they were able to
stop playing their instruments, and let the fans do the singing for
them.
It was Amazing.
Cons:
The only CON I can think of is the 6 hour wait on the freezing
sidewalks
of San Francisco, and practically blown out eardrums for standing right
next to the speakers.
Experiences:
My best friend was able to attend the show with me and I was able to
score
guitar picks from Front Man Adam Levine as well as Guitarist James
Valentine.
Rating:
I give this show a 10!!
Final Thoughts: Maroon 5 is definitely worth seeing Live. Go to
