Projekt Revolution Tour '07

By: Amy

Artist: The headliner was Linkin Park, but I was there for My Chemical Romance. Other bands were Taking Back Sunday, HIM, Placebo, Julien K, Mindless Self Indulgence, Saosin, The Bled and Madina Lake

Concert Name/Year: Projekt Revolution Tour '07

Pros:
It was an all day concert, and the tour chooses great places to host this concert. Some bands that played the smaller stage, like the Bled, were seen out and about with the crowd. Cove Reber, from Saosin, came and sat two rows in front of us for Linkin Park's performance and that was exciting. My Chemical Romance really worked the crowd, and it was amazing, I'd never been to a concert where every section was clapping their hands with the beat. I also like that all the bands seemed to have a good time together. I know My Chemical Romance and Taking Back Sunday are friends, but everyone seemed to like everybody else. And this tour is environmentally friendly, with bio-diesel fueled buses, and donations to American Forests for their global ReLeaf program.

Cons:
It's hard to say what I didn't like, maybe the venue I was at was just awesome and that worked toward the great experience, but for the most part this concert was a positive. The general admission/mosh pit wasn't that large so tickets sold out for that fast, but all the bands did good.

Experiences:
The Bled were out with the crowd, like I said, so my friends and I got pictures with them. Julien K's pianist was out, and they were filming something, so we got an autograph, and like I said Cove Reber was right near us, so we got pictures and a hug!

Rating:
I'd say about 8.5

Final Thoughts: Linkin Park does this tour every year, so if you can't get to Projekt Revolution this year, try next year, it's worth it!
