Letter Spacing
In this tutorial you'll learn how to change the spacing between letters. It's a simple effect, but a cool one
nonetheless. Alright, first, select the text tool and write anything you want:

After you've done that, we need to make sure the window that
has the letter spacing tool is visible. You can
make sure it's open by selecting "Character" from the "Window" option in your toolbar:

Alright, now look for a symbol with two letters in a gray box with arrows pointing left and right.
(That little thing is your letter spacing tool.) Once you've found it, make sure your text is highlighted and then select a number from the drop-down list. I'm going to select "-100":

Congrats! Your letters will now be spaced more closely together to give your text a neat effect.
By the way, you can increase the letter spacing as well. Just pick a number value that is bigger than zero:
