Technique 4
Let's say you want a very basic yet grungy feel to your picture. Something edgy but with not much detail. The "threshold" tool might
just be what you're looking for.
From your top toolbar, select: "Image > Adjustments > Threshold."

This will open up a window with a slider on how much of this "threshold" you want. Sliding it to the left makes it lighter,
sliding it to the right makes it darker. (Just move it to where you like the image best.)

Dunzo. Your image now has a really cool black and white look to it.
