Using Textures
Textures are great for adding some depth, or just a cool effect to any picture. Here's a simple and effective way to
use a texture. First, pick out a picture you'd like to use a texture on. I'm going to use this one of the always
gorgeous Anne Hathaway. Feel free to use it for this tutorial.

Now, open Photoshop with this image and simply copy and paste the texture you want to use. This is the texture I'll
use:

It will automatically show up as "layer 1" on top of your beginning image.

Next, right click "layer 1", and select "Blending Options" from that menu.

You should now see a window showing all sorts of options for you to choose. Make sure "Blending Options: Custom" is selected from the list on the left,
and from the drop down menu in the window that says "Blend Mode," select "Screen."

Hit ok, and you'll now have a texture added to your image:

Simpy right? You can use this same technique with other pictures (not just textures) to give your pictures an
interesting effect.
